There are some places on earth that make you, when you think back to being there, say "Man, what a great time that was"! To me Amsterdam is one of those places. In fact, not just one of them, but one of the most important and one of the most fantastic. As holiday destinations in Europe go one cant help but be amazed at the variety that are now very easy to get to. Amsterdam the capitol of the Netherlands is quite easy to get for a weekend break you cant help but have fun once you are there.

I came across this site some year or so ago and it has a great selection of Cheap Amsterdam Hotels available for online reservations. Not only does it have the hotels but it also has a good guide to some of the major attractions that the city has to offer for tourists. Having been a few times now I can tell you that there is much more than just these mentioned here to see but, they are a good start.

If you are looking for the best of the best then the selection of 5 star hotels in Amsterdam is for you. These are the ones that have everything you could possibly want and then a bit more. The rooms are immaculate. If you are quick and you have to be, you may in fact catch the cleaners going into your room to make then bed. This happened a number of time to me and it is like a game. If you go into your room and lie down you will make a mess of the bed covers. When you pop out of your room it is noted by the staff and they will immediately send a cleaner in to make sure your room is perfect for you on your return to the hotel.

It really is a wonderful feeling to get back to once you get used to it. Maybe a bit creepy to start with but I soon got into the swing of it.

The 1 star Amsterdam hotels are the completely opposite end of the spectrum. There is still a very good selection available on the site. The budget nature of these places make them "somewhere to crash". They are not there for you to be in the lap of luxury in and at these prices, 40 to 80 Euros a night, what do you expect? You get something like what you pay for but it may not be a clean as you would keep you own home sometimes, so do be careful.

Luxury Amsterdam hotels come in a few different forms. These ones here with a rating of four stars means close to the top but not over it. Most of the accommodation here will have a good restaurant be very clean and tidy. The decor should be something to write home about both in the hotel itself and in the rooms. The beds should be very comfortable. Staff should be available for you at most times of day and night. They should be willing and able to help you with all of your queries and, if it a is a really good place, maybe anticipate some of your requirements.

Value for money is reasonable costs for reasonable rooms in a reasonably comfortable environment. If that is the sort of thing you are looking for the look for some of the hotels in Amsterdam with 3 stars. These are usually the best value in the city as you are not paying to much and not getting to much. Just the right balance for some people.

Still in a good league the 2 star hotel are also usually value for money. The staff here may not be so well trained and there may be a bit of a casual je ne cest qua about it all but, it should still be ok to stay here. Some of the better examples of this might be Hotel Diann The customer reviews of this place make it stand out a bit from the rest.
